Olde Mill Art Gallery and Shoppe- Schomberg

Visit this charming Gallery nestled in the historic Old Feed Mill in Schomberg.

The Olde Mill Art Gallery & Shoppe is a cooperative, run by and featuring local artists and artisans. Art work and artists continually change, keeping our art work fresh and unique!

The Gallery has been up and running since November 8th, 2018 beginning as a pop-up Gallery on Main Street in Schomberg.  Due to it’s overwhelming success, continues a destination favourite today!

At this time, 8 local artists are being featured in this space, showcasing their work as well as demonstrating their techniques.  Being able to talk to the artists themselves makes this Gallery very unique.

Inge weaves beautiful scarves and small purses using hand dyed cottons and silks.  People love to ask questions and to watch her at work at her loom.

Other artists may also be seen demonstrating their skills, perhaps painting or creating unique jewelry while at the Gallery.

Our wood worker, Dan and wood turner, George always have a story to tell about each piece they have created.  Or learning that the vase or bowl that they are holding in their hand is turned from local wood hundreds of years old!   The buyer has a special connection with the artist and/or their work and it makes a difference.

Often hearing these stories, and/or knowing the location of the subject of a painting will inspire a patron to buy a piece of art that they can enjoy in their own home or give as a gift.  All the art is unique and cannot be reproduced!

We invite you to come in and enjoy, touch and take in the colour that surrounds you as you make your way around the Gallery.  There is no admission fee, and plenty of free parking!

Participating Artists: George Burt, Inge Dam, Patricia Earl, Dan Glassco, Karen Hunter, Mary Morganelli, Catharine de Montmorency, and Yamile Rijo.
