A joyful celebration of the natural and cultural heritage of the Humber River Valley

Please join the McMichael Creative Learning Team and volunteers for a community planting of the new Indigenous Garden.

This joyful celebration of the natural and cultural heritage of the Humber River Valley will offer families the opportunity to engage in community planting around the McMichael Indigenous Garden and participate in interpretive hikes and a knowledge sharing circle led by Indigenous traditional teachers.

The day will start at 11 am with a ceremony led by Community Elder Shelley Charles from Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation. The planting activities will be facilitated by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority team.
