SARA NIKNEJAD
Visual Arts, Media Arts, Art Supporter
I hold a degree in architecture, and during my walks through the beautiful forests of Canada, I was often moved by the sight of fallen wood slowly decaying on the forest floor. Once full of life and structure, these pieces still carried beauty and a story within them.
From this emotion came the idea to create lasting works of art—handcrafted lamps that not only illuminate interior spaces but also bring the quiet soul of the forest into the home.
Before moving to Canada, I worked on a variety of architectural and interior design projects in my home country. I have always been passionate about the relationship between space, light, and form.
Today, I use fallen wood, handmade paper, and light to build sculptural lighting pieces under my brand, Niksa Design. My goal is to create a bridge between contemporary design and natural elements through sustainable art.
My guiding belief is this:
We never cut down trees — we bring forgotten pieces of nature back to life.
