The Porritt Tract York Regional Forest is located in Whitchurch-Stouffville. This extended loop is located in the York Regional Forest. It’s a beautiful forest with lots of nice trees and trilliums making it quite picturesque. This is a short, shaded loop with some elevation and roots on the footpath. For a longer hike (and a slight change in scenery), try the out and back trail that extends out from the north side of the loop or for more of a challenge try some of the more moderate offshoots. This area tends to be busier on weekends and very quiet during the week. Bring crampons/ice grips in the winter months.
