Ancestral Voices: Belonging and Identity in Canada: Rhythm & Belonging

Join Newmarket Public Library for our Ancestral Voices author series exploring the experiences of Indigenous, Caribbean and African Peoples in Canada.

We are honoured to present writer, spoken word artist, and anti-racist educator, Khodi Dill. Khodi is a Bahamian-Canadian writer from Saskatoon. Centering equity at the heart of his work, Khodi hopes that his work will engage people of all ages in social justice and the arts. Dill is the author of the picture book Welcome to the Cypher, introducing young people to the transformative power of rap music. The Ancestral Voices author series is hosted by Newmarket Public Library, and
