Fire Prevention Week Open House
24 September 2022 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

You’re invited to celebrate Fire Prevention Week at a free community event with Richmond Hill Fire and Emergency staff along with Sparky the Fire Dog!
Fire Prevention Week (October 9-15) is an opportunity for the community to learn how to stay safe in case of a fire. This year’s theme focuses on the importance of home escape planning and practice. Ask yourself, if a fire occurred in your home, would your family be able to get out safely? It is important that everyone know what to do and where to go when the smoke alarm sounds.
At the Open House, attendees will learn how to create a home escape plan and other fire safety tips, including how smoke and carbon monoxide alarms save lives. This free event offers child-friendly games and activities, live demonstrations (including auto rescue demonstrations and a fire truck simulator), food trucks and more!
