Residents and tourists can participate in a self-guided, virtual tour of Main Street. The artwork of 17 artists from the Newmarket Group of Artists (NGA) have been paired with 17 historic buildings on Main Street, Newmarket.
Enjoy a stroll and discover inspiring artwork in a nearby business window. Hover your phone’s camera over the QR code found on the window poster to open to an interesting video on the history of the building, as well as information about the current business. This is a unique, self-directed walking experience of art, history and business via smart phone technology.
Start your tour at the Elman W. Campbell Museum, formerly the North York Registry Office. See our new display, Newmarket Memorabilia: The History of Newmarket Through Artifacts. Receive one complimentary historic Main Street postcard (while supplies last). Free!
