Event Description

This virtual studio experience, taught live through the Zoom platform, is an opportunity for beginner, practicing and intermediate artists to fine-tune their technical skills while working in watercolour with rag and Yupo paper. Professional artist and instructor Josy Britton will demonstrate essential watercolour rag techniques such as how to create flat and graduated washes, how to surround objects in a flat wash without drying lines forming, loading a brush with multiple colours, and adding texture using salt. Participants will also learn to use house rollers, spray bottles, and even toothbrushes to reveal the bright whites of Yupo paper. This online studio will transform the way you view a forest, trail or river on canvas!
