York Region farm delivers lavender yields forever

SHARE

Lavender Polo Farm, a new family business opened just this year, will be extending its limitless picking festival based on last week’s successful event.

On September 17 and 18, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., for a flat entrance fee, guests can hand pick and take home as much fresh lavender as they want with no time limit.

So, if you’re looking for something different and fun to do this weekend, this might be it.

Lavender Polo Farm is 45 minutes from downtown Toronto and 30 minutes from Markham and may be the perfect family and friends activity to add to your autumn weekend excursions.Last weekend, they were able to raise more than $1800 for Talk Suicide Canada to support the work emergency responders are doing and the efforts to offer Canadians some comfort and help during hard times. This weekend, they will again support the cause.

This is an excellent opportunity to spend quality time with family and loved ones outdoors before the weather gets cold and harvesting season is over!
The farm offers four types of lavenders, totalling more than 100,000 plants on more than 150 acres of land. Other than picking lavender, there will be plenty of space to explore photo spots, picnic and bring home some lavender products from the gift shop to go with the fresh lavender.

Early bird tickets on sale until September 16th for $20/ person.

Standard bookings/ walk-ins accepted for $25/ person, subject to last minute availability.

Free for children under 3. Free parking available onsite.

Lavender Polo Farm is located at 20132 McCowan Rd, East Gwillimbury.
