54-40 and Kim Mitchell headlining concerts at Aurora Ribfest

Vancouver rockers 54-40, above, will be headlining the Friday night concert at the Aurora Ribfest tomorrow night – August 26. Kim Mitchell, below left, will be headlining the Saturday night concert at the same event. Jurassic World Dominion is the Movie in the Park tomorrow night in Whitchurch-Stouffville while The Multicultural Diversity and Business Festival is on in Richmond Hill on Saturday and Taste of the Caribbean is at Canada’s Wonderland on Sunday.

Friday, August 26

Movies in the Park
Featured film: Jurassic World Dominion
Location: Memorial Park- 2 Park Drive, Whitchurch-Stouffville
Time: 9pm – 11pm (Movie begins at sundown)
Admission: Free
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy family favourites under the stars! A food vendor will be available at each movie selling a variety of treats for you to enjoy while watching a spectacular movie.

Aurora Ribfest
Location: Machell Park, Aurora Heights Dr, Aurora
Dates & Times: Friday August 26th (4pm-11pm), Saturday August 27th (11am-11pm) & Sunday August 28th (11am-8pm)
Admission: Free (Food and drink available for purchase)
Mark your calendars because the tastiest event of the year will be taking
place at Machell Park, as the rib teams get fired up starting on Friday, August 26. Not only will there be the tastiest ribs but also roasted yams, roasted corn on the cob, beavertails and many other dishes for every appetite. There will also be fantastic entertainment all weekend long! There is a jam-packed line-up with musical acts appearing on the entertainment stage. You will be entertained by some of the region’s best musical performers. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes to dance the afternoon and evenings away to great performers.

Summer Saturdays at ClearWater Farm
Location: ClearWater Farm- 1614 Metro Road North, Willow Beach
Time: 9am-4pm
Admission: Free entrance (food, drinks and other items available for purchase)
Join us at the farm to explore nature, eat and drink well, shop our local artisan and farmers market, have the whole family learning together with our art in nature programs or flex your mental health muscle in the fresh air. Some programs require preregistration.

The Multicultural Diversity and Business Festival
Location: 376 Church St South, Richmond Hill
Time: 12pm – 5pm
Admission: Free (Food, drink and other items will be available for purchase)
The Richmond Hill Board of Trade will be hosting its 2nd annual
Multicultural Diversity and Business Festival, it is a complimentary family-friendly community event dedicated to displaying multiculturalism and business in Richmond Hill. The festival will have entertainment, food trucks, business display booths, a photo booth, and the first 200 attendees will receive a swag bag full of goodies. Join us in supporting our community through arts, culture and business.

Sunday, August 28

Taste of the Caribbean at Canada’s Wonderland
Location: Canada’s Wonderland- 1 Canada’s Wonderland Drive, Vaughan
Dates & Times: Saturday August 27 (12pm-8pm) & Sunday 28 (12pm-8pm)
Admission: Access to event is included with Park Admission
Feast your senses at the lively and colourful Taste of the Caribbean food
festival where guests will enjoy island flavours from jerk chicken to seafood dishes, rum cake and coconut desserts, plus sweet summer drinks! Dance
along to steel drum music and transport yourself to the warm islands of the Caribbean.
