Dance Together Season 2024 @ Assembly Park

Following the success of our 2023 Dance Together Festival York Region, which won the nomination of Best In-Person Programming with Ontario Culture Days, we are partnering with Assembly Park and York Region Arts Council to offer ongoing indoor programming during Winter and Spring 2024 at the spacious and wheelchair accessible Assembly Park Studios in Vaughan! We are thrilled about this new chapter, which allows us to continue building community through dance in York Region.

The programming includes artistic process residencies with local dance artists, community dance workshops in diverse styles, as well as works-in-progress showings and events that are open to the community. All classes are beginner-friendly, and no prior dance experience is required.

To celebrate this new chapter, we welcome you at the Dance Together @ Assembly Park Open Studio weekend on January 27th for Pay-What-You-Can community workshops in Waltz, Line Dance, Bollywood, Latin Dance, and more!

In Waltz, finding connection in order to support each other through repetitive turns is a source of joy, much like the feeling many of us might remember from our childhoods – spinning around with a friend. Timing is everything and round and round and round we all go. 1-2-3, 1-2-3 …
