Kathryn Merriam is a singer-songwriter, harpist, improviser and artist.

Raised in a musical family, she has been immersed in sound since before she can remember. While attending Berklee College of Music on scholarship to study jazz piano in 2013, she became unexpectedly fascinated with the world of songwriting. She picked up the guitar, likely due to her obsession with Joni Mitchell, and began writing, recording and performing her own original songs.

In 2016, a harp synchronistically came into her life, and she was immediately hooked. Since then, she has recorded an album of original songs composed for the harp and voice, and has been a part of a variety of musical projects and performances in the jazz, folk, and improvisation scenes.
