York Region a great place to discover patios, picnics and pals
The patio at Fishbone by the Lake, above, is one of the region’s favourites but it’s not the only one. York Region has a plethora of patios and picnic areas for you do discover.
There’s nothing quite like enjoying a meal out-of-doors.
While sunshine, breeze, tasty treats and great company are the key ingredients to a successful el fresco experience, location is just as important. Matching up your environment to your gathering ensures everyone is taken care of properly and you’re not trying to stick a round peg in a square hole.
Got a family event with small children planned? Probably best to avoid the urban patios featuring splashy colourful drinks and dressed-to-the-nines clientele. Maybe one of the region’s many picnic locations would be better.
To help you decide where you might want to host your next gathering, we’ve assembled a list of places from around the region that may fit the bill. This is by no means a full list but hopefully it gets the conversation started.
